Tis the Season

I love Christmas time. It's the time of year where bright twinkle lights, cozy fires, images of snow-covered mountains, and the sounds of classic Christmas music brings warm fuzzies down into my soul.

As is tradition, we decorated our home with all of the hand-me-down Christmas decorations we own the day after Thanksgiving. With the unusual Southern California chill in the air, I've felt even more snuggly as I've been able to have a fire roaring in the fireplace almost everyday leading up to

Christmas.

As Christmas day draws nearer, it's hard for me to not notice the buzzing and murmuring around me. People seem more rushed, more hectic, more stressed than normal. I'm exhausted just watching!

Can we take a deep breath and just be still for a minute?

Take a moment to admire how the lights dance off the decorations at night.

Close your eyes and breathe in the smells of pine, apple spice, and cinnamon.

Listen and feel the silence and sacredness of the season.
