Shaping the Soul: An Artist Collective
As many of you know, I’m passionate about helping women find ways to connect with God more deeply. This is the purpose behind Soul cries: A Journal and now Shaping the Soul: An Artist Collective.
This journal takes some of my favorite Shaping Tuesday practices and combines them with beautiful artwork by16 incredible artists and space for writing and doodling for a truly unique journal. The practices are simple enough for families with young children to incorporate into their daily and/or weekly rhythm and also meaningful and practical enough for adults to be formed and shaped as well.
It is currently available on Kindle for $4.99 and Amazon for $14.99.
You can also find it at Walmart and Barnes & Noble!

"The artwork in this book is a beautiful stepping-stone to drawing closer to God. I love how the author (and the collaborating artists) took such simple practices for noticing the beauty of creation around us and God's work within our lives and created a visual piece to reflect and guide. I appreciate the space for journaling any thoughts or insights gained from completing the spiritual practice.
I really appreciated how each art piece is so unique in its design. I think that speaks even more to the beauty of God's creation."
–Rachel Fahrenbach, author of Rest & Reflect: 12-Week Guided Sabbath Journal

"Simple, yet profound prompts encouraged me to connect with God through a variety of spiritual practices. Reading through this journal, I felt a childlike innocence and peace wash over me while the beautiful artwork led me to the wonder of God. Jennie's book made me acutely aware of the way I fill my life with doing, striving, and pressing. Her quiet words made me realize how loud my life usually is and gave me room for pause. This journal is a treasure I highly recommend to anyone searching for a deeper connection with God."

An amazing amount of space for you to journal your own thoughts as you reflect on what Jennie Denney has written. An encouragement for the soul of someone who likes to fill up pages of a journal. Written artistically and leads you to a place of peace."
"Adventure awaits the reader/writer in this carefully crafted journal. The author takes you on a journey through scripture, verse, and photography, so that you can discover deeper things within yourself and then she has gone a step further by giving you a space for journaling. The author comes across as emotional, encouraging, uplifting, and full of worship and because of the author's vulnerability the reader is encouraged to do the same thing. I think this book makes a great addition to a daily quiet time and would make a great gift. Enjoy!"

"This is a deeply vulnerable and stirringly personal expression from the writer’s soul that could be our own. Like prayers that call out for help, guidance, comfort, grace, understanding or acceptance, the poetry reaches inward to connect to our own needs, then calls upward for ultimate connection to the One who stands ready to answer. The author’s own photography is exquisite; the scenes alone stir my heart and pull me in. I find I take my time to read, to meditate—and then to write my own soul cry beside hers."
